Ministering to preschool children (twos-preK)
"Waumba" is the Swahilian word for "Creator." It’s here in the preschool area where our kids will learn of the creation story. To take a closer look at the curriculum, please log on to www.myfirstlook.org.

Where?
Age-appropriate rooms located on the lower level.
Security?
Children are assigned a security number when they check into their rooms. The parent is given a matching number. When the parent arrives to pick up the child, the numbers are matched before the child is released.
Points To Success In Waumba Land . . .
1. Teaching key Bible truths through repetition and creativity.
a. Helping a child master concepts rather than exposing them to as many different Bible stories as possible.
b. Creatively engaging the child’s response in the learning process.
c. Provide a consistent schedule when teaching young children.
d. Teaching children that the Bible is true and full of many important things that God wants them to know.

2. Establish a foundational understand of who God is.
a. Help young children to see God as their creator and friend.
b. Encourage preschoolers to worship God for all that He has done.
c. Emphasize God’s desire for a loving relationship with every child.
